"Duty is something I have embraced all my life. Growing up on a large farm I arose early and worked late in the fields and dairy barn. I served my country in the United States Army, then as a husband and father I took care of my family. I have served my God, worked hard in my career, and volunteered in the community. Watching our two sons grow from tiny babies to adulthood, then marry and have their own families has been the most gratifying experience of my life and I want future generations to have the same opportunities we have had for a rewarding life."

District 16 is the central western portion of Clay County, MO, from I-35/291 Hwys on the east line to the Platte County line on the west. The north line of this district generally runs along 108th Street and the south line down to, but not including Claycomo, Pleasant Valley, and Gladstone.
